IPAF and PASMA Access Training Across 13 UK Centres

AFI Training covers powered access and tower training from thirteen centres across England and Wales, running IPAF dual and triple operator categories alongside PASMA Towers for Users. The combination matters — most operatives working at height will meet both MEWPs and mobile towers, and holding cards for each removes the gap that stops work.

IPAF Dual 3a & 3b
The Dual IPAF Operator course at Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Bolton, Milton Keynes, Hull, West Bromwich, Gateshead, Winchester, Peterborough, Sevenoaks and Brentwood — plus an e-learning theory option. Dual covers mobile scissor and mobile boom, the two machine types most common on site.
IPAF Triple 1b, 3a & 3b
The Triple category adds static boom, available at West Bromwich, Nottingham, Milton Keynes, Brentwood, Caldicot, Leeds and Liverpool. Relevant where vehicle-mounted or trailer platforms are used alongside mobile machines.
PASMA tower training
PASMA Towers for Users at Gateshead, Milton Keynes, Winchester, Leeds, Caldicot and Hull — covering safe assembly, alteration, inspection and dismantling of mobile access towers. Browse all working at height courses.
Manager and specialist courses
IPAF MEWPs for Managers, Harness Awareness, and Site Assessment for MEWP selection, all as e-learning. Site Assessment is the one worth noting — it covers judging whether a location can take a machine at all, which is where most powered access problems originate.
MEWP or tower?
Powered access suits work at height where the position changes often or the machine must reach over obstacles. Towers suit sustained work in one position at moderate height, particularly indoors or where a machine cannot get access. Many sites need both, which is why operatives commonly hold IPAF and PASMA cards together.
