This training is designed for anyone who needs to operate static boom-type MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms), including vehicle-mounted booms, trailer-mounted lifts, and spider lifts. The standard 1b course covers the safe setup and use of static booms on typical worksites, while the 1b+ option goes further, preparing operators for higher-risk environments such as uneven ground, complex set-ups with outriggers, and challenging site conditions. On successful completion, delegates receive an internationally recognised IPAF PAL Card, valid for 5 years, proving their competence in operating static boom MEWPs safely and effectively.
