CCNSG Safety Passport Training – Open Courses in Derby and Newcastle-under-Lyme

Purple Cow Training is a health and safety training specialist based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, trading since 2011 and named after Seth Godin's book on transforming a business by being remarkable. It is an approved ECITB training provider, is licensed to deliver IOSH courses and runs CITB and Highfield-approved courses, delivering both open courses and in-company training nationwide for clients that have included Toyota, BAE Systems, ABB and Amey. The open courses listed here are the ECITB's CCNSG Safety Passport and its one-day renewal, which run on alternating months in Derby and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

CCNSG Safety Passport – the two-day course
The CCNSG Safety Passport was developed by major industrial groups to give contractors a common basic standard of safety awareness. The two-day course runs from site safety responsibilities and legislation through fire, manual handling, electricity, stored energy, HAVS, noise, lifting operations, radiation, asbestos and confined spaces. It suits anyone whose working environment requires a safety passport. Compare all CCNSG courses.
CCNSG Renewal – book before the card expires
The one-day CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal is a refresher for people who already hold the passport, and it has to be taken before the existing card expires. Purple Cow runs each renewal two days after the full course at the same venue, so a contractor can send new starters and renewals in the same week. Check your expiry date before a site does.
Two venues, alternating months
Courses alternate between The Training Society in Derby and Silverdale Athletic Football Club in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Derby suits contractors across the East Midlands – browse other courses in Derby or across Derbyshire. Newcastle-under-Lyme serves Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Potteries – see other courses in Newcastle-under-Lyme or across Staffordshire.
How Purple Cow delivers its courses
Client feedback published by the company returns to the same points: trainers who keep a group engaged, plenty of practical content, and flexibility in arranging training around a business. Beyond the open CCNSG timetable, Purple Cow delivers a wide in-company range – including CITB Site Safety Plus, IOSH, first aid, fire marshal, manual handling and abrasive wheels – on dates arranged with the client, which is best handled through a group quote.
