CCNSG, CITB and PASMA Training in Glasgow — Plus IOSH E-learning
Tala Training covers the credentials that govern site access in central Scotland from a single Glasgow centre — the ECITB CCNSG safety passport for engineering construction, the full CITB Site Safety Plus range including both refreshers, PASMA towers and first aid. The schedules are among the deepest on the site: CCNSG alone runs a dozen dates, with nine each for SMSTS, SSSTS and the green card course.
CCNSG Safety Passport and renewal
The ECITB
CCNSG Safety Passport and its
renewal, both with substantial date availability. CCNSG is the standard entry requirement across engineering construction — refineries, chemical plant, power generation and major maintenance shutdowns — which matters in central Scotland given Grangemouth and the wider industrial belt. The passport lasts three years and the renewal route closes once it expires.

CCNSG or CSCS — which does the site want?
They cover different kinds of site and neither substitutes for the other. CSCS, reached via the CITB Health and Safety Awareness course and the touchscreen test, covers general construction. CCNSG covers engineering construction — process plant, refineries, power stations and the shutdown work that goes with them. Contractors moving between the two routinely hold both, and this is one of the few Scottish centres carrying each with a full schedule.
Covering central Scotland
Glasgow is practical for the whole central belt — Paisley, Motherwell, Hamilton, Falkirk, Grangemouth, Stirling and out towards Ayrshire — and reachable from Edinburgh by train inside an hour. For anyone further north or in the Borders, the two IOSH courses are available online instead.
