This CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Day Release course in Manchester is designed for site managers, project managers, and senior supervisors working in the construction industry. Delivered over five consecutive weeks in a day release format, this course provides a flexible alternative to the traditional five-day block format, allowing delegates to continue working while completing their training.
The SMSTS qualification demonstrates a thorough understanding of current health, safety, welfare, and environmental legislation as it applies to construction sites. It is widely recognised by principal contractors and is often a mandatory requirement for site management roles.

Who Is This Course For?
The CITB SMSTS is aimed at site managers, project managers, contracts managers, and anyone in a senior supervisory role on a construction site who is responsible for the health and safety of others.
SMSTS Assessment and Certification
Delegates are assessed through a combination of written exercises and a final examination. Upon successful completion, candidates receive the CITB SMSTS certificate, which is valid for five years. A refresher course must be completed before expiry to maintain the qualification.
This course is delivered by Morson Nexus, an accredited CITB training provider, at their Manchester training centre.
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
To join online courses, delegates have to log in via a link provided through a computer or laptop with a camera, screen, microphone and access to the internet.

E-learning and Online (Instructor-led) training is more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective.
Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.
Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
