Entry Requirements

This course is only for delegates who have previously completed the full five-day SMSTS and can provide evidence of attendance. A solid understanding of spoken and written English is essential. You will need a device with a camera, microphone and a reliable internet connection. If your certificate has already expired you will need the full five-day SMSTS course instead.

What You'll Learn

The refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date and gives a thorough overview of legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It covers a broad spectrum of topics, building on the foundation laid by the five-day course while introducing new subjects.

Certification

Successful delegates receive a CITB-accredited certificate valid for a further five years.

Course Materials

Delegates are provided with the Construction Site Safety health, safety and environmental information manuals (GE700 and XA6).

Good to Know

The CITB SMSTS qualification is named in the Approved Code of Practice for the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 as a demonstration of competence for site managers. The refresher qualifies for a CITB Tier 2 short course grant.

Once you have paid for your course(s), you will receive an email from our team advising how to begin your training.

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
