Renewal

The two-day SMSTS Refresher must be completed before the certificate expires — let it lapse and the full five days has to be retaken. Compare SMSTS Refresher dates across the West Midlands.

Good to Know

SMSTS does not by itself award a Black CSCS card. It can, however, count as recognised prior learning towards the NVQ that leads to a Black or Gold card. CITB-registered employers may be able to claim the CITB Short Course Grant against this course — worth checking your CITB account before booking.
