Course Overview

This CITB-accredited two-day course is for those acting as, or preparing to become, Temporary Works Co-ordinators responsible for managing temporary works on site. It is also suitable for anyone who wants to gain a clear understanding of the Temporary Works Procedure and how it should be implemented on construction projects.

What you'll Learn

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  1. Understand the need for and duties of a TWC
  2. Understand the role of others
  3. Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of BS 5975 in respect of this role.

Course Syllabus

The TWCTC Course is carried out over 2 days, and contains 5 modules:

Module 1 – What are temporary works?

Module 2 – The history of temporary works

Module 3 – Who is involved with temporary works?

Module 4 – Planning temporary works

Module 5 – Managing construction, erection and dismantling of temporary works

Delivery Method

This course is delivered online by a live instructor using video conferencing software.

Prerequisites

Delegates should have a working knowledge of temporary works and health and safety in construction. It is recommended that they have previously completed the CITB Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) course or have relevant experience in managing temporary works.
