Excellent - Learned a lot and increased my crypto vocabulary!

The course is mainly audio visual with an instructor walking and talking you through the modules. The only interactivity was the 20 question quiz at the end, which I scored 80% which i'm happy about as it was relatively technical in it's questioning.

Initially the course didn't require much technical knowledge however the course does get more technical as it progresses. I found the most technical aspect was the setting up of blockchains using BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) using AWS, Corda and Quorum.. which prior to the course I didn't understand but now I know it exists and what it is.

The course discusses the difference between 'permission' and 'permissionless' blockchains which essentially are private and non-private blockchains - the latter being for example Ethereum and Cardano etc and the former being Hyperledger, Corda, Quorum and Ripple. I also learned Ripple is not actually a blockchain and it's the only one out of these four that does have a token (XRP). Prior to attending the course I had no understanding of which blockchain tech would be used for permissionless and permission based solutions. I also now understand that a company considering deploying a blockchain needs to consider whether or not they require a token.. the likes of Hyperledger and Corda do not have token offering.

If you're a blockchain pre-sales engineer the course is perfect.. but as a crypto investor the tech aspect was a little more than I needed but was very interesting and has given me a much better understanding of blockchains and 'significantly' increased by crypto vocabulary' - my partner will be delighted 🤣

Blockchain technologies are now more than just a trial run. They are starting to go from a Proof of Concept to a Production use case. As a pre-sales engineer, solutions engineer or technically focused expert facing customers, knowing how to speak blockchain is going to be a required skill especially for large VARs, Vendors, Integrators, etc.

In order to earn your certification, you’ll sit an online exam. We provide interactive quizzes after each module to ensure you're fully prepared for the real thing. Once you've passed with at least 80%, you'll be awarded your certificate.

If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after extra study. There are no limits to the number of times you can take the test.
