NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

This five-day course is for anyone who holds, or is about to take on, environmental responsibilities at work. It is the environmental counterpart to the better-known NEBOSH safety certificates and is aimed at people who have to make an environmental management system function day to day, not simply understand the theory behind it.

If you only need a basic grounding in environmental issues rather than a management-level qualification, the one-day NEBOSH Environmental Awareness at Work award is the shorter route. This certificate is the right choice if you are implementing or improving an environmental management system.

Assessment is in two parts: a scenario-based online digital assessment sat on a set date shortly after the taught days, and a practical assessment completed separately.

Delivery Method

Delivered at the accredited NEBOSH Learning Partner centre at Unit 8, 12 O'Clock Court, 21 Attercliffe Road, Sheffield, S4 7WW. This course can also be run in-house at your own premises or another suitable venue.

Course Duration

5 days, plus the online digital assessment and practical assessment

Course Criteria

• There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
• NEBOSH recommends a standard of English equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above, as the syllabus requires you to articulate concepts as well as recall them.

• Recognising workplace activities that may be subject to environmental legislation or enforcement
• Assessing environmental aspects and impacts
• Environmental emergency planning
• Understanding the importance of reducing environmental harm
• Issues associated with waste and its management

Certification

Successful delegates receive the NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate. Both initial assessment fees are included in the course fee. Re-sits, if required, are charged separately by NEBOSH and are not included.
