Become a Qualified Mental Health First Aider

The Qualsafe Awards Level 3 Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace is a two-day qualification for people who will act as a mental health first aider at work. It builds an understanding of common mental health conditions, how to support someone who is struggling, and how to guide them towards professional help.

Course Content

• Understanding mental health and why it matters
• Roles and responsibilities for mental health in the workplace
• Looking after your own wellbeing as a mental health first aider
• Common conditions, including work-related stress, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder
• Promoting positive mental health in the workplace
• Supporting employees who are off work with poor mental health
• Local and national sources of support

Assessment

The qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice question paper.

Course Timings

Both days run from 08:30 to 17:00 (UK time).

Delivery Method

Live, tutor-led virtual classroom over two consecutive days.
