Temporary works failures are rarely caused by a single mistake. They happen when designs are used before approval, inspections are missed, or site changes are made without proper review and sign-off. The Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) sits at the centre of the controls intended to prevent this.

This IIRSM-approved course prepares prospective and newly appointed TWCs to understand temporary works management in the context of CDM 2015, BS 5975-1:2024 and BS 5975-2:2024. It shows where coordination failures occur, which decisions carry the greatest responsibility, and what effective control looks like in practice. Approximately two hours of fully online training with same-day digital certification.

Who is this course for?

  • Newly appointed and prospective Temporary Works Coordinators
  • Temporary Works Supervisors

  • Engineers and foremen
  • Temporary Works Designers and Designated Individuals

Particularly relevant to construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, refurbishment, demolition and utilities projects operating a formal temporary works procedure based on BS 5975-1:2024.
