Scaffold Awareness

Introduction to Scaffold Hazards, Safety Practices, and Regulations

The Scaffold Awareness course is designed for individuals who work around scaffolding and need a solid understanding of the associated hazards, safety requirements, and basic components. This introductory programme provides essential knowledge on scaffold types, common risks, safe working practices, and the key responsibilities of those operating near or around scaffold structures. Delegates learn how to recognise unsafe conditions, follow site safety procedures, and support compliance with relevant regulations and industry guidance. By improving awareness and foundational knowledge, this course helps create safer working environments and ensures that personnel can identify potential issues before they escalate.

Awareness is the entry point. Those who inspect scaffolds need the Basic Scaffold Inspection (3 Days) or Scaffold Inspection (2 Days) course, and supervisors the Managing Scaffold Activities course. A flexible option is Scaffold e-learning. See the full Scaffolding course range.
