PASMA tower training

Which IPAF category do I need?
The categories describe the machine, not the person. 3a is mobile vertical — scissor lifts. 3b is mobile boom — cherry pickers and articulated booms. 1b is static boom, mounted on a vehicle or trailer. Most operators want 3a and 3b together, which is why the dual course is the common booking. Check what is actually on your site before choosing; a 3a card will not cover a boom.
Why does harness rescue matter?
Suspension trauma can become life-threatening within minutes of a fall arrest, so a rescue plan that depends on calling the emergency services is not adequate on its own. The Rescue course covers planning and equipment for recovering a suspended person quickly. If your team works at height in harnesses, someone on site needs this.
