Recognition for Carpenters and Joiners

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations is the work-based qualification for carpenters and joiners, and the route to a blue CSCS Skilled Worker card. It runs as separate pathways: Site Carpentry for first and second fix work and structural carcassing, Architectural Joinery for bench joinery and manufactured products, and Timber Frame Erection for erecting timber frame structures. Whichever pathway you take, assessment is carried out in the workplace from evidence generated by your normal duties, with no exam and no college attendance.
