CPCS, NPORS and Hoist Operator Training in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
NTSS runs an accredited plant training centre in Cambridgeshire with more than 25 years behind it, covering novice through to experienced operators across most categories of plant. What sets the centre apart is hoist — it is one of comparatively few UK centres offering CPCS, NPORS and NVQ hoist routes alongside hoist installer training.
Plant operator training — CPCS and NPORS
Operator training and testing across most plant categories, at novice and experienced level, leading to a red or blue card. Both routes are offered, so the choice is yours: see all
CPCS plant operator courses on Envico. CPCS is the more widely recognised on large principal-contractor sites; NPORS permits on-site training and testing, which usually means less downtime.
Hoist training — the centre specialism
Goods and passenger hoist operator training under CPCS, NPORS and NVQ, plus hoist installer training. Hoist is a narrow field with few centres running it regularly, so lead times elsewhere are often long. Worth checking here first if hoist is what you need.
NVQs for experienced operators
On-site assessment for operators who already do the work and need the qualification to match — the usual route to a blue competence card without going back to a classroom. Browse all
construction NVQs, and if you are moving into assessing yourself, the
assessor and IQA qualifications.
In-house NTSS certification
The centre also issues its own certification, structured in line with the awarding bodies it holds accreditation with. This suits employees who need demonstrably adequate training to operate plant safely but do not need a card-scheme certificate — plant used solely on private premises, for instance. Check what your principal contractor will accept before choosing this route.
