Safehouse Health and Safety Consultants is a Barnsley-based health and safety consultancy and CITB Approved Training Organisation, running classroom courses for site managers, supervisors and site workers across South Yorkshire. SMSTS and SSSTS – site managers and supervisors
The five-day SMSTS course is for site managers, project managers and anyone responsible for planning and running a construction site safely. The two-day SSSTS course is for supervisors and those moving into a supervisory role. Both certificates last five years. See all CITB courses.
SMSTS and SSSTS refreshers
The two-day SMSTS Refresher and the one-day SSSTS Refresher renew your certificate for another five years. Book before your current certificate expires: once it has lapsed, you have to take the full course again.
Temporary works – coordinators and supervisors
The two-day Temporary Works Coordinator course covers the coordinator's role in managing temporary works such as falsework, formwork, excavation support and propping. The one-day Temporary Works Supervisor course is for those supervising temporary works on site, and the one-day Temporary Works Coordinator Refresher keeps coordinators up to date.
Health and Safety Awareness – for site workers
The one-day CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is the entry point to Site Safety Plus for operatives and new starters, covering their responsibilities on site, common hazards and how to stay safe.
IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely
The three-day IOSH Managing Safely course gives managers and supervisors in any sector a practical grounding in assessing and controlling risks, understanding their responsibilities, investigating incidents and measuring performance. SMSTS or SSSTS – which do I need?
