Supervising rather than managing? CITB SSSTS is the two-day supervisor equivalent and also runs at this venue.

Assessment

A multiple-choice examination, plus assessment of your contribution to the group exercises run across the week. Both must be completed successfully to gain the certificate.

Certification

Successful delegates receive the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate, valid for five years.

Renewal

The two-day SMSTS Refresher must be completed before the certificate expires — let it lapse and the full five days has to be retaken. The SMSTS Refresher also runs at this venue.

Good to Know

SMSTS does not by itself award a Black CSCS card. It can, however, count as recognised prior learning towards the NVQ that leads to a Black or Gold card.
