Train as a Fully Qualified Workplace First Aider
This three-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course prepares nominated staff to take charge when someone is injured or taken ill at work, and to keep caring for the casualty until the emergency services arrive. It is the level of cover a first aid needs assessment usually calls for in higher-risk workplaces, and it helps employers meet their duties under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
The course runs in small groups at the Letchworth Garden City training centre of Safety For Business, a Hertfordshire health and safety consultancy and CITB Approved Training Organisation, with practical exercises throughout.
Who Is the First Aid at Work Course For?
Employees nominated as workplace first aiders, staff expected to respond to medical emergencies, and organisations that need full first aid cover. No previous first aid training is needed. Where an assessment shows lower risk, the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course may be enough.
