CITB, First Aid and Workplace Safety Courses in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
Safety For Business (UK) Ltd is an independent health and safety consultancy and CITB Approved Training Organisation based at Campus Five in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. Its own training centre, with training rooms and a practical demonstration area, hosts CITB Site Safety Plus courses every month alongside workplace first aid, fire marshal and half-day work safety courses. Groups are kept small, usually no more than 12 delegates, and drinks and a cold buffet lunch are provided on centre-based courses. The company also carries out fire risk assessments and safety consultancy for businesses, which gives its training a practical, workplace-first focus.

First Aid at Work course trains full workplace first aiders, covering CPR and defibrillator use, bleeding, burns, fractures and medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke and anaphylaxis. Existing first aiders renew on the two-day
First Aid at Work Requalification, and lower-risk workplaces can train appointed people on the one-day
Emergency First Aid at Work course. Each certificate lasts three years.

Two half-day

SMSTS or SSSTS – which CITB course do I need?
It depends on your role. SSSTS is the two-day course for supervisors, forepersons and team leaders who oversee work on site. SMSTS is the five-day course for site managers, project managers and others responsible for planning and running the whole site. Both certificates last five years and are renewed with their own refresher before expiry.
