The IOSH Working Safely is a nationally recognised and respected health and safety course, it is applicable to people at any level in any sector and meets the government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training.
The IOSH Working Safely course focuses on why health and safety is important and how individuals can make a real difference to the well-being of themselves and others by changing their behaviour.

Course Structure
The IOSH Working Safely course is split into 4 modules with learning confirmation along the way in the form of a small quiz after each module.
- Module 1 – Introducing working safely
- Module 2 – Definition of hazard and risk
- Module 3 – Identifying common hazards
- Module 4 – Improving safety performance
The aim of the course is to provide the knowledge and skills that everyone needs to remain safe while working in their occupation.
Results
The assessment for this course can be taken anywhere in the world that has internet access.The IOSH Working Safely involves two assessments:
- Online multiple choice questions.
- Online hazards spotting and control measures exercise.
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate sent to you by IOSH.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for the IOSH Working Safely course.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
To join online courses, delegates have to log in via a link provided through a computer or laptop with a camera, screen, microphone and access to the internet.
