Relevant to every workplace, the NEBOSH International Diploma in Environmental Management is ideal for managers and supervisors but anyone can book the course and further their understanding of environmental management.
However, learners must be prepared to commit time to the course and revision time in preparation for the exam. Also, the course is presented in English so learners would therefore need to have a suitable standard of English.

The NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate addresses the following key areas:

Certification
Students should be mindful that this is a Degree level qualification and as such this classifies the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma as a demanding qualification. Therefore you may find it very difficult to gain a pass mark if you do not already have crucial background knowledge as a health & safety practitioner or the ability to study at this level.
The qualification is divided into two units, each of which is assessed separately.
Managing environmental aspects: Unit 1 is assessed by a three-hour written examination. Students choose to answer 5 out of 8 questions.
- Unit 1: Controlling environmental aspects
- Unit 2: Environmental Regulation
Environmental regulation: Unit 2 is assessed by a written assignment of approximately 8000 words, designed to test knowledge across the syllabus.
Students must successfully complete both parts of the assessment (assignment and examination) within five years of the result declaration for the first unit successfully completed in order to achieve the qualification.

Learner Eligibility
All courses will be presented in English and so all delegates will need to speak, understand, and write English. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
