Course Overview
IOSH Managing Safety is a comprehensive and globally recognised course designed to equip your workforce with the knowledge and skills to proactively manage workplace safety.
This three-four day course provides basic health and safety training for managers and supervisors across all sectors and organisational types.
“Managing Safely has been designed to give managers an understanding of how to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace and make them aware of their responsibilities ” (IOSH).

IOSH Managing Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, from any organisation, who have to manage risk and resources.
E-learning Flexibility + Tutor Expertise
The ‘live’ classroom courses are hosted on Microsoft teams video conferencing and have all the benefits of in-person training. Learners have the freedom to absorb content and engage with peers.
With Ligtas Virtual Training, you will have all the flexibility of an e-learning system, together with the support of a tutor via online learning sessions.
The Ligtas LMS will give you access to course notes and high-quality interactive activities which can be completed at your convenience.
This is supplemented with scheduled sessions in the Ligtas virtual classrooms to provide an online equivalent of traditional face-to-face training.
How Long Will the Course Take?
- When studied through virtual classroom, the course is 3-4 days.

Certification
On successful completion of a multiple choice question paper and a workplace practical assessment, the delegate will receive an IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
