SAFE MLO Exam Prep Course Online
The SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act requires every licensed Mortgage Loan Originator to pass a test developed by the NMLS, and every state requires proof of passing it as part of initial licensing. This course is built around passing it first time.
Access runs for six months, and the course is included free with the 20-hour SAFE national pre-licensing course.

About the SAFE MLO Exam
The SAFE MLO National Test with Uniform State Content contains 125 multiple-choice questions, five of which are unscored pilot questions. A 75% pass mark means answering at least 87 of the 115 scored questions correctly. The five content areas are weighted as federal mortgage-related laws 24%, uniform state content 11%, general mortgage knowledge 20%, mortgage loan origination activities 27% and ethics 18%.
Candidates who fail at the first attempt can retake after 30 days for two further attempts. After a third failure there is a 180-day wait before the next attempt.
