CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC)

The CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC) is a specialised training program designed for those responsible for overseeing temporary works on construction sites. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand their roles and responsibilities, assess the risks associated with temporary works, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. The course typically covers topics such as legal and regulatory frameworks, risk management, and effective communication and coordination, aimed at promoting safety and efficiency in the management of temporary structures.

Supervising temporary works normally sits alongside general site supervision rather than replacing it, so this course is commonly taken together with SSSTS. There is no refresher for TWSTC — the certificate is retaken in full when it expires. Our free Which CITB course do I need? tool works out which courses your duties call for.

Coordinators should see the CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWCTC) course. Part of the CITB Site Safety Plus range.
