Train the assessor
Two courses worth singling out. Face Fit Train The Tester qualifies your own staff to carry out RPE fit testing, which has to be repeated whenever someone changes mask type or their face shape changes. Manual Handling Assessor does the same for manual handling risk assessment. Both convert a recurring external cost into an internal capability.
Risk assessment and method statements
A dedicated RAMS course — writing the documents rather than just complying with them. Most sites require RAMS before work starts and most supervisors are expected to produce them without ever being taught how. Comparatively few providers train this directly.
