CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course in Birmingham (Solihull), West Midlands
This two-day CITB SSSTS course is for site supervisors. Candidates will learn about their legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
Objective
At the end of the online SSSTS course, you will have an understanding of:
- health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors
- your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely
- risk assessments and the need for method statements
- effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
- monitoring site activities effectively
- timely intervention when bad practice is identified
Suitability – Who Should Attend?
This SSSTS online course is for those who have supervisory responsibilities.
It provides supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will highlight the requirement to promote health and safety in order to supervise effectively.

Pre Course Requisites
- To be able to read, write and understand English to a good level. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area
- If you need to re-sit the test, you must do this within 90 days of the original course date at an additional charge
- You will need to provide a valid ID on the first day of the course, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.
For virtual courses, You must have access to a computer or laptop that uses a microphone and webcam. Without the correct facilities, you won’t contribute to the course at the required standard. You will also not be able to complete the exam in line with CITB’s scheme rules.
Outcome/Qualification
Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded a CITB Construction Skills Certificate valid for five years.
They will then need to undertake a refresher course prior to the expiry date on the certificate to obtain another five-year certificate.
