Our CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC) is a classroom course covering the supervision of temporary works on construction sites. It explains the duties set out in BS 5975 and how the Temporary Works Supervisor supports the Temporary Works Coordinator in controlling the works safely.

This course is aimed at those appointed as Temporary Works Supervisors, along with site supervisors, engineers and gangers who assist with temporary works on site.

Certification

What is the difference between Supervisor and Coordinator?
The Supervisor assists the Coordinator and supervises temporary works on site. The Coordinator holds overall responsibility for the temporary works process on a project. We run both courses.
Do I need construction experience?
Yes. This course assumes working knowledge of construction site operations.
How long is the certificate valid?
Five years from the date of successful completion.
Do you offer this course online?
Yes. Online courses and group bookings are available on request outside our scheduled classroom dates.
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
