MECsafe

CITB, CCNSG and Access Training in Harworth, Nottinghamshire

MECsafe covers construction and industrial site competence from a centre at Harworth, on the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire border. The combination of CITB Site Safety Plus and the ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport is the useful part — construction and engineering-construction sites require different passports, and having both at one venue saves splitting a workforce across providers.

CCNSG Safety Passport
The ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport and its renewal. Required for access to most engineering-construction sites — refineries, power stations, chemical plants and major process facilities — where a CSCS card alone will not get you through the gate.
Access and working at height

Practical and statutory training
UKATA Asbestos Awareness, abrasive wheels, and Face Fit Testing Train the Tester — which qualifies your own staff to fit test RPE rather than buying testing in each time someone changes mask.
CSCS or CCNSG — which do I need?
They cover different sectors. A CSCS card, underpinned by the CITB HS&E test, covers general construction sites. The CCNSG Safety Passport covers engineering-construction — process plants, refineries, power generation and major maintenance. Many industrial contractors need both, since the workforce moves between site types. Check the client's requirement before booking, as one will not substitute for the other.
