Our CITB SMSTS Refresher course is a two-day classroom course for site managers who hold a current SMSTS certificate and need to renew it before it expires. It brings you up to date with current legislation and industry best practice without repeating the full five-day course.
Who Should Attend
This course is for delegates who already hold a valid SMSTS certificate. Your existing certificate must not have expired — if it has lapsed, you will need to complete the full five-day SMSTS course instead.

Certification
Successful delegates receive a renewed CITB SMSTS certificate, valid for a further five years.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my certificate has already expired?
The refresher is only available to delegates with a current certificate. If yours has expired you will need to complete the full five-day SMSTS course.
How early can I take the refresher?
You can take it at any point while your certificate is still valid. Most delegates book within the final six months.
Do I need to bring my existing certificate?
Yes, please bring proof of your current SMSTS certification with you on the day.
How long is the renewed certificate valid?
Five years from the date of successful completion.
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

- Choose appropriate number of delegates and 'Add to Cart'
- At checkout choose to pay by invoice later, debit/credit card or by Clearpay
