CPCS A59A Excavator 360 Above 10 Tonnes Tracked (Novice) in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
This five-day novice course gives foundation training and assessment in operating and maintaining a tracked excavator 360 above 10 tonnes safely and productively, leading to the CPCS A59A technical test.
The novice route is the right choice if you have some, limited or no experience of the machine. Experienced operators looking to iron out bad habits should take the two-day refresher instead, and anyone converting a recent qualification from another scheme should look at the test-only option.
The technical test comes in two parts. The theory test covers health and safety together with the technical elements of the machine. The practical test assesses your skill and judgement while operating. The theory element must be passed before the practical is attempted.
