Course Overview

Emergency First Aid at Work is practical, one-day workplace first aid training. It gives nominated first aiders the skills to assess a casualty and act quickly in the first minutes of an emergency, from CPR and defibrillator use to dealing with choking, bleeding and shock.

Who Should Attend?

Staff nominated as emergency first aiders – typically the first aid cover in a lower-risk workplace, or support for fully trained first aiders in a larger one. Your own first aid needs assessment should decide the level of cover you need.

Course Duration

1 day, run on Saturdays.

Assessment / Examination

Practical assessment is included in the course.

Delivery Method

Delivered in a classroom at a partner venue at Park Farm, Eagle Road, Swinderby, Lincolnshire, LN6 9HS – south-west of Lincoln.

Certification

An FAA qualification is issued on successful completion. Learner materials, registration, standard assessment and certification are all included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is EFAW enough for my workplace?

It depends on your first aid needs assessment. EFAW suits lower-risk workplaces; higher-risk or larger workplaces usually need first aiders trained on the three-day First Aid at Work course.

Why a Saturday course?

Weekend dates let staff qualify without taking a working day away from site or the office.
