This one-day refresher brings managers who have already passed IOSH Managing Safely back up to date. It revisits their key health and safety duties and covers changes in good practice, legislation and standards since they last trained.

Who should attend?

Line managers and supervisors who have passed the full IOSH Managing Safely course within the last three years. Delegates may be asked for proof of their original certificate.

Delivery Method

Classroom-based and tutor-led at Leigh Court Business Centre, Pill Road, Abbots Leigh, Bristol, BS8 3RA, a short drive from Bristol city centre, Portishead and junction 19 of the M5. Safety Horizon (South West) is an IOSH approved training provider. Course materials, on-site car parking, refreshments and lunch are included, and certificates are issued to delegates who complete the course successfully.

What if my Managing Safely certificate is more than three years old?
The refresher is designed for people who passed the full course within the last three years, so you may need to retake the three-day IOSH Managing Safely course instead.

On successful completion, your certificate is issued by the awarding body. IOSH courses: Managing Safely, Managing Safely Refresher, Working Safely and Fire Safety Awareness lead to an IOSH certificate. IOSH certificates don't expire, but IOSH recommends Managing Safely holders refresh their knowledge every three years with the one-day refresher. UKATA Asbestos Awareness: leads to a UKATA certificate. Asbestos awareness training should be refreshed every year.
