Lean Training & Certification
A dedicated Lean course rather than a belt level. Where the belt curriculum blends Lean and Six Sigma, this concentrates on the Lean side — flow, waste and customer value — for people whose problems are about speed and process design rather than variation and defects.
Delivery Method
Online (E-learning), self-paced, with unlimited exam retakes
Great For
Operations and service delivery teams, anyone working on throughput or lead times, and organisations adopting Lean without committing to a full Six Sigma programme.
What It Covers
- Mapping processes end to end and seeing where work actually waits
- The eight wastes and how to identify them in practice
- Improving flow and reducing handoffs
- Defining value from the customer's point of view
- The provider's Ethical Efficiency approach — improving performance without simply pushing people harder
Lean or a Belt Course?
If your problems are queues, delays and rework loops, Lean tools address them directly and this course is the shorter route. If you are dealing with inconsistency, defects or variation, the Six Sigma side matters more and Green Belt is the better fit. Many organisations end up needing both, which is where the all-access subscription becomes the cheaper option.
Certification
Successful completion earns a GLSS Lean certification. Lean Six Sigma certification is not a regulated qualification and sits outside the Ofqual framework, so confirm what your employer or professional body recognises. Certification requires renewal every two years.
Fees
Fees are set and charged in US dollars by the provider. The figure shown here is a guide only, converted and correct at the time of listing, and group discounts apply on multiple seats — take current pricing from the provider's website.

GLSS delivers Lean Six Sigma training and certification entirely online and self-paced, from White Belt through to Black Belt. The approach is project-based rather than lecture-based: you apply the tools to a real process problem in your own workplace as you learn, so the deliverable is a completed improvement project rather than only an exam pass.
For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course.
All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone and an internet connection.
Connection quality is the responsibility of the delegate. If you need to download free video conferencing software please visit our video conferencing software page where you can download the software specified by the training provider.
E-learning and Online (Instructor-led) training is more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective.
Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.
Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
