Qualitative Face Fit Tester Training Course

Our Qualitative Face Fit Tester course is a one-day programme providing a minimum of 6 hours of instruction for up to 8 delegates. It is designed for those looking to perform qualitative face fit testing for tight-fitting RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) within their organisation, for their own staff. The course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills required to conduct fit testing in compliance with the relevant legislation and HSE guidance found in HSG53 and INDG479.

The course is delivered by a BSiF "Fit2Fit" accredited face fit tester and will help prepare learners for a "Fit2Fit" assessment, should they wish to demonstrate their competence in this way.

At the end of the theory session delegates take a short multiple-choice test. On passing, they move on to a practical assessment, where they conduct a qualitative face fit test on a test subject under the supervision of the instructor. Please note that anyone attending must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper seal around the mask and the accuracy of the test.

Certification Upon Completion

Successful delegates will receive e-certification accredited by Kentec Training, valid for a period of three years from the date of the course.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
