RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operator Course - Refresher

Our RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operator Course (Refresher) is a one-day programme delivering a minimum of 6.5 hours of instruction for up to 3 delegates. It provides the skills needed to refresh certification in order to operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection and recall, and explain the causes of truck and load instability.

This course is available for operators with documentary evidence of formal training who wish to renew their certification to use a counterbalance forklift truck. It includes theory instruction and assessment followed by practical operator training and assessment, complying with the standard laid down in the HSE Code of Practice L117. The certification does not need to be in date to qualify for this course, and does not necessarily have to be a previous RTITB qualification. Successful operators can use any counterbalance forklift up to a 5000 kg lifting capacity (with authorisation) anywhere in the UK.

Since the safe use of forklift trucks requires delegates to consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer's instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements.

Certification Upon Completion

Successful delegates will receive an e-certificate accredited by RTITB, valid for a period of three years from the date of the course.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
