• 20-hour pre-license courses are the ones that formally meet Alabama's pre-licensing education requirement for a given line of authority.

What Are the Requirements to Get an Alabama Insurance License?

1. Study for the insurance license exam. The exam prep courses simplify this by covering every subject on the exam.
2. Pass the official licensing exam through the University of Alabama.
3. Get fingerprinted to become a licensed producer in Alabama.
4. Complete the official application for your new producer licence through the AL DOI.
