Face Fit Train the Tester in North Shields, Tyne and Wear (Classroom)

Face Fit Train the Tester Course

Our Face Fit Train the Tester course is a one-day in-house certification hosted by our own accredited face fit tester. It is designed for those who wish to conduct qualitative face fit testing for tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE) within their own organisation, giving them the knowledge and practical skills to carry out testing in line with HSE guidance HSG53 and INDG479.

The course combines theory with hands-on practical testing. Delegates learn why correct fit testing is essential, how poorly fitting RPE can fail to protect the wearer, and how to carry out a qualitative face fit test correctly and record the results. On completion, delegates will be able to perform in-house face fit testing for their colleagues.

Please note that anyone taking part in face fit testing must be clean-shaven, as facial hair prevents a proper seal and will cause the test to fail.
