Qualsafe First Aid at Work (FAW) Course in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Our First Aid at Work Course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace. The course will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
Even the most benign work environment can be a hazardous place. Accidents and illnesses can transform an average workday into a crisis. The Health and Safety Regulations of 1981 (HSR) recommend that workplaces have a first aid-trained worker for every 50 employees, and The First Aid at Work Course will help you to achieve that. Our comprehensive three-day course will equip your staff with the knowledge they need to save lives.
Who Should Attend?
Every workplace needs nominated first aid staff who can cope with emergencies. The HSR recommends that you aim for one nominated first aider for every 50 staff members. The FAW course equips employees for a three-year period, after which they will need to re-qualify by attending the First Aid at Work Refresher (FAWR) course.
Delivery Method
Delivered in a classroom in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH65 1AD

What You'll Learn
This three-day course includes emergent care for health-related incidents like seizures, low blood sugar, asthma, and allergic reactions. It also covers accident care and first aid kit usage for burns, choking, eye injuries, and shock. Record keeping is an often ignored first aid requirement, so our course also covers this important skill. Wherever there are emergencies, there is the risk of shock, so we’ll train your staff to cope with this life-threatening condition.
The course is fully compliant with the HSO 1981, so you can rest easy in the knowledge that you’re doing the best that you can for your valued workers.
