Compare CPCS Appointed Person Courses from UK Providers

Compare CPCS Appointed Person training from trusted UK training providers in one place. A61 is the CPCS category for the person who plans lifting operations, assesses the risks and produces the lift plan under LOLER — the most senior role on the lifting side and one principal contractors will not let a lift proceed without. It is a management category rather than a machine ticket, so it suits supervisors, engineers and site managers as much as operators. Browse and compare by provider, location and date, then book in minutes.

New provider dates are added regularly. The A62 crane supervisor and A40 slinger signaller categories sit below it on the same route. Worth knowing: where A40 is already held, passing A61 awards the A62 category as well.

The red Trained Operator card is valid for two years and the blue Competent Operator card for five. Check when your card expires with our free tool, or see all CPCS courses.
