For higher-risk workplaces, the 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course in Cheshire provides the depth of training the HSE recommends. Across three days of classroom and practical sessions, delegates learn to handle serious incidents — from cardiac arrest and severe bleeding to fractures, spinal injuries and a range of acute illnesses — and to lead the first aid response until the emergency services arrive. The qualification is nationally recognised and valid for three years.
