Acadame

NEBOSH Certificates and IOSH Training Across Staffordshire and the North West

Acadame runs three NEBOSH certificates in classroom from Stoke-on-Trent — General, Construction and Fire Safety — with IOSH Managing Safely spread across three centres and available as e-learning. Carrying all three NEBOSH certificates at one venue is unusual outside the large national providers.

NEBOSH certificates
Three NEBOSH certificates at Stoke-on-Trent: the National General Certificate, Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK), and the Certificate in Fire Safety. General is the broad foundation; Construction applies it to sites; Fire Safety covers fire risk assessment for anyone who has become the responsible person under the Fire Safety Order.
IOSH across three centres
IOSH Managing Safely in classroom at Stoke-on-Trent, Widnes and Bury, and also as e-learning. Three venues spread across Staffordshire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester covers a wide catchment for a single provider. Browse all IOSH courses.
Site safety
CITB Health and Safety Awareness at Stoke-on-Trent — the one-day entry course and the usual route towards a green CSCS labourer card. See all CITB courses.
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General?
Managing Safely is three days and gives a manager a working grasp of risk assessment and their responsibilities — enough to run a team safely. The NEBOSH General Certificate runs over many weeks and is what employers ask for in safety adviser roles. Most people take Managing Safely first and progress to NEBOSH if safety becomes a substantial part of the job.
