IPAF, PASMA, UKATA Asbestos and First Aid Training – Open Courses in Nottingham
PRS Training Services is a Nottingham health and safety training provider with nearly a decade in the sector, running open courses from its own training centre at Ellesmere Business Park and delivering the same courses on customers' sites. It trains across construction, manufacturing, maintenance, retail, hospitality, schools and offices, and backs the training with a health and safety consultancy that carries out site audits and accident investigations. IPAF powered access – 3a and 3b in one day
The
IPAF 3a and 3b operator course covers scissor lifts and cherry pickers in a single day and runs roughly fortnightly, the most frequent course on the PRS timetable. Successful operators receive the IPAF PAL Card, valid for five years and recognised across industries as proof of platform operator training. PASMA Towers for Users
PASMA Towers for Users runs monthly and is the standard ticket for anyone who erects, moves, inspects or dismantles mobile access towers. UKATA Asbestos Awareness – classroom or online
PRS delivers UKATA-approved
Asbestos Awareness two ways: a morning classroom session at Nottingham, run monthly, and a self-paced e-learning version. Both meet the Regulation 10 training requirement for people who might disturb asbestos in their everyday work, and both certificates last a year. Emergency First Aid at Work
The one-day, Ofqual-regulated Level 3
Emergency First Aid at Work course suits lower-risk workplaces, or larger ones that need extra emergency first aiders alongside their fully trained first aiders – the right level of cover follows from the employer's own first aid needs assessment. Manual handling e-learning
The online
manual handling course suits both the people who lift and carry and the managers and supervisors who assess them. It covers the legislation, how the spine and muscular system work, assessing the task, load and environment, and ergonomic principles for seated and standing work, finishing with a 15-question assessment and a PRS certificate.
How PRS delivers its courses
Courses are delivered by PTLLS-qualified trainers who are certified in their own field, and presentations and handouts are kept in line with the latest regulations. Wherever the syllabus allows, courses include a practical element using team exercises or props rather than a day of slides. Beyond the open timetable, PRS delivers a wider range for groups – including PASMA for managers, non-licensed asbestos work and the three-day First Aid at Work course – on dates arranged with the client, which is best handled through a group quote.
