CITB SSSTS Refresher Online

Course Duration

One day, including the end-of-course examination.

Delivery Method

Live online tutor-led delivery in a virtual classroom, in real time, with full interaction with the tutor and the other delegates. No travel required, and it leads to the same CITB-recognised qualification as the classroom version.

Entry Requirements

Delegates must have previously completed the full CITB SSSTS course and hold a valid, in-date certificate. This matters: once your SSSTS certificate has expired you are no longer eligible for the refresher and must sit the full two-day course again. Check your expiry date before booking. You will also need a computer or laptop with a camera, screen, microphone and a reliable internet connection.

What You'll Learn

The refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date and gives a thorough overview of legislative changes and their impact in the workplace, building on the material covered in the original course. It reinforces your understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, your legal responsibilities, and the need to promote health and safety in order to supervise effectively.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Apply updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your supervisory role
• Apply new guidance and industry best practice arising from those changes
• Fulfil your responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and the environment

Assessment

An end-of-course examination, sat on the same day.

Certification

Successful delegates receive a renewed CITB SSSTS certificate, valid for a further five years. SSSTS does not come with a physical card — you are issued a certificate, which can be uploaded to the CSCS Card Checker so there is no need to carry paper copies on site.

Good to Know

The refresher is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for supervisors working on Build UK sites. It qualifies for a CITB Tier 2 short course grant, and further support may be available through the CITB Skills and Training Fund.
