Course Overview

The one-day SSSTS Refresher brings site supervisors up to date with current health and safety law and good practice, and renews the CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certificate for a further five years.

Who should attend?

Supervisors who have already passed the full SSSTS course and need to renew their certificate.

Course Content

The same five modules as the full course: legal and management, health and welfare, general safety, high-risk activities and the environment, with a focus on changes since you last trained.

Course Duration

1 day, 9am to 5pm

Assessment

An exam of 22 multiple-choice and three short written questions, including four safety-critical questions. The pass mark is 80%, with a same-day resit available.

Certification

Renewed CITB Site Safety Plus SSSTS certificate, valid for five years.

Prerequisites

A previously completed SSSTS course. Book before your certificate expires, or you will need to take the full two-day course again.

Delivery Method

Live online, tutor-led training in a virtual classroom over Zoom, delivered by SMAS Worksafe's CITB-qualified instructors. You can join from home or work, but you'll need a computer with a reliable broadband connection, a webcam and a microphone. Delegates booked within 14 days of the start date receive their course materials as an eBook.

For short courses a completion certificate is available at the end of the course. You can screenshot this or print it out to confirm completion of the training.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.

All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone and an internet connection.

E-learning is flexible, efficient, and cost-effective, meaning you can progress through the modules at your own pace, at your own time to fit the training in around your work and personal life.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.

Step 1

Step 2

Once you have paid for your course(s), you will receive an email from our team advising how to begin your training.

Step 3

You will be provided with a username and password which will enable you to access the e-learning portal. Login to start your course, once you have completed and passed the course, you will be able to download and print your certificate straight away.
