What Are the Requirements to Get an Insurance License in Florida?
- Complete the required pre-license training hours through an approved education provider.
- Have your fingerprints scanned.
- Submit the official license application to the Florida Division of Insurance Agent and Agency Services.
- Schedule and pass the official Florida Insurance licensing exam through Pearson Vue.
Which Course Do You Need?
Florida sets the required hours by licence type. The 60-hour course covers the 2-15 Life, Health and Variable Annuity licence. The 40-hour courses cover Life and Variable Annuity, or Health, individually. Confirm the licence class you are applying for before enrolling — a 40-hour course will not satisfy a 60-hour requirement.

Already Licensed? Continuing Education
