NPORS CAT & Genny in Exeter, Devon
The NPORS CAT & Genny course provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely locate and avoid underground services in construction and site-based environments.
It focuses on correct use of Cable Avoidance Tools (CAT) and Signal Generators (Genny) to detect buried services such as electrical cables, gas pipes and water lines. Learners develop an understanding of the risks associated with underground utilities and how to reduce the likelihood of strikes during excavation.
Emphasis throughout is on safe systems of work, interpreting detection signals and following correct scanning techniques, alongside relevant legislation and best practice guidance for avoiding underground services.
Delivery Method
Delivered at the Champion Training Solutions training centre, Thorverton Road, Marsh Barton, Exeter, EX2 8GN. This course can also be run in-house at your own premises.
