Champion Training Solutions
NPORS, First Aid and Health & Safety Training in Exeter, Devon
Champion Training Solutions is an Exeter-based training centre delivering accredited health, safety and construction skills training across the South West. It was built on the foundations of a long-established groundworks contractor with more than 40 years on site, and that shows in the teaching — the trainers still work on live construction projects, so the examples come from real jobs rather than a course pack.
NPORS site safety and plant training
An accredited NPORS provider running Site Safety Awareness, Construction Site Supervisor and Construction Site Manager, both with refresher routes, plus CAT & Genny and hand-held cut-off saw training. Site Safety Awareness is the one-day route most operatives take before applying for a card. Compare every NPORS course on Envico before you book.
First aid at work and paediatric first aid
Emergency First Aid at Work, the three-day First Aid at Work qualification and its two-day requalification, alongside Emergency Paediatric First Aid and a short Allergy & Anaphylaxis Awareness session. If you are working out how many first aiders you need and at what level, start with the full first aid training range.
Fire safety and risk assessment
A one-day fire warden course covering prevention, hazard recognition and evacuation, plus Principles of Risk Assessment for anyone who has to produce and review assessments rather than simply follow them. See the wider fire safety training range.
Mental health and safeguarding
A one-day Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace course and the two-day Mental Health First Aid qualification, plus a standalone safeguarding course. Construction has a well-documented problem here, and the centre's roots in the trade tend to make these sessions land better than generic material. Browse all mental health and wellbeing courses and safeguarding training.
General health and safety awareness
Short awareness courses covering asbestos, abrasive wheels, confined spaces, safe use of harnesses, CDM, COSHH and manual handling. Most run as half or three-quarter days, which makes them practical to stack two into one visit. See the full health and safety training range on Envico.
Test centre, eLearning and in-house delivery
The Marsh Barton centre is an approved venue for the Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) touch screen tests required for CSCS and NPORS card applications, so operatives can sit the test and the course in the same place. Courses can also be run in-house at your own premises, and a RoSPA quality-assured eLearning route is available on parts of the range. Worth asking about if you have a group to put through or the public date you want is full.
