Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) in Exeter, Devon

First aiders are an integral part of workplace safety. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work, which includes appointing a suitable number of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.

Over this one-day course, learners develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding, and minor injuries.

Delivery Method

Delivered at the Champion Training Solutions training centre, Thorverton Road, Marsh Barton, Exeter, EX2 8GN. This course can also be run in-house at your own premises.

• Primary survey
• Secondary survey
• CPR and use of a defibrillator
• Choking
• Treatment of wounds and bleeding
• Treatment of minor injuries
• Treatment of burns
• Recognition and treatment of seizures

Certification

Successful learners receive the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
