The Confined Space Awareness course gives learners a clear understanding of the risks associated with working in or around confined spaces. It suits individuals who may need to enter confined spaces, work nearby, or be involved in planning and supervising such activities.

The course covers the hazards commonly found in confined spaces, including lack of oxygen, toxic gases, restricted access and the risk of fire or explosion. Learners develop an understanding of how to identify confined spaces, assess risks and implement appropriate control measures.

Emphasis is placed on safe systems of work, including permit-to-work procedures, the use of appropriate equipment and the importance of emergency planning.

Delivery Method

Certification

Successful learners receive the Confined Space Awareness certificate.
